Our Cattle

These adorable little cattle are known by several names including Australian Lowline Angus, American Aberdeen Angus, Mini Angus or as we lovingly call them "Mini Moo's". It doesn't matter what you call these cute little critters. These cattle are smaller, more efficient, easier to handle, easier/faster to finish out on grass alone and ideal for backyard/small acreage locations or a large ranch that wants to make a higher profit per acre.  Our cattle are grass and (literally) hand fed.  They do enjoy occasional hand fed treats such as small amounts of grain, sugar beets and ripe pumpkins.

About us

Oxkiller Minis is a fourth, fifth and sixth generation farm that was originally homesteaded in 1888 in the beautiful Cache Valley by Hans Olsen. Over the last 130 plus years we have raised a vast variety of crops and livestock.  In 2016 we started raising Registered American Aberdeen (Lowline) Angus cattle.  Our seed stock were hand picked from a long time, reputable breeder.

Our farm is located along the banks of Cub River in Franklin County Idaho.  It consists of 150 acres, 70 acres is river bottom grass pasture straddling Cub River and 80 acres is irrigated farm land.  It is located on the outskirts of the oldest town in Idaho, Franklin, which was settled in 1860.

And no, our gentle little livestock can not actually kill oxen. Our name comes from a Rocky Mountain canyon located on the northern end of the Wasatch Front and near our farm.

We are members of the American Aberdeen Association, and all of our breeding stock are registered there.
